History
The House of L, LLC was founded in January 2008 by Sir Christopher L. Medley who had a desire to start an events production company. This vision came to fruition once Christopher was awarded first right of refusal of the Miss Black Virginia USA Scholarship Pageant Program. Sir Medley purchased the license to the pageant and created the House of L to produce it. He was soon joined by his sister, LaTonya Medley, in the implementation of the company.
The House of L is based in Pittsylvania County/Danville, Virginia, where Sir Medley was raised in a rural section of Chatham. By hosting social and cultural events such as scholarship pageants, this company has allowed him to be a part of the revitalization of his native community. The House of L takes great pride in its diverse perspectives and ability to view projects through the lens of its clients.
Various holidays, personal celebrations and special projects are accepted as special event potential. The House, and events produced by the House, are up-scale events. However, providing clients with first-class service does not always require an enormous price tag. The House of L is committed to producing quality events while working within the parameters of your financial resources.
What lies ahead for the House of L is not limited to pageants and personal celebrations. The company's standard to host events that will benefit various segments of the community is evident in the planning of two future events: The Red Ball and Talented Tenth Gala. The Red Ball is a day-long HIV/AIDS event commencing with a service project and concluding with black-tie benefit affair. The Talented Tenth Gala will be a white-tie event to introduce teenage African American males to society. These young men will be sponsored by localities within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The House continues to evolve day by day. If you want something new, something more, something unduplicated - you must join the House.
